Currently the 2011 Lord of the Rings Extended Edition box set (and reprintings thereof) is still the best Blu ray release for LOTR. The "Middle Earth Collection" set is also good for containing all the same content + The Hobbit Extended Editions and Appendices (sans 3D versions) but the packaging is pretty poor compared to the dedicated LOTR
