Two Towers showed as Pan & Scan (Have no idea why) so I canceled that. Return showed up as the extended 4 hour version. Three different methods from the same disc versions. Not Fellowship of the Ring Disc 1. Ep 1 - Shadow of the Past 52 minutes Scenes 1-12 0:00-51:21. Ep 2 - Knife in the Dark/The Council of Elrond 54 minutes Scenes 13-27 51:21-1:45:43. Fellowship of the Ring Disc 2. Ep 3 - The Ring Goes South 44 minutes Scenes 28-36 0:00-44:10 (1:45:43- 2:29:53) The extended versions expect that you as a viewer are already fully bought into this world and it's inhabitants, and reward that prior investment with more content, if you arent, they will seem to meander and drag and stay well past their welcome.
