There is a small relay box behind the dash that holds 3 relays in it,the large one is a flasher the other 2 are small (black) one of these is the fuel pump relay. Deffo dodgy battery - when you try and start the car, it takes a massive inrush current to turn the starter motor and fire up the starting systems. If the battery is low on charge, you will see the dash and everythin resetting, and either a very slow turn over or just a click.
